Whole Health Therapies
We offer one-on-one Reformer, Mat and Chair Pilates sessions with Registered Physiotherapist, Paula a Certified Pilates Instructor of over 20 years.
The Pilates Method exercises are focused on whole-body strengthening and stretching, with a big emphasis on activation and working the core muscles. In this method, we connect body and mind through concentration and breathing, while developing body awareness and improving your posture and spine alignment.
You will be guided through the session by a Registered Physiotherapist who will develop a customized treatment plan based on your individual needs.
With Physiotherapy Pilates sessions, we follow the established requirements for ensuring that these Pilates sessions qualify as physiotherapy under extended health insurance benefits.
If you have any questions you can contact Paula directly at :
Following an Initial Physiotherapy assessment, our physiotherapist will help identify biomechanical issues, diagnose injuries, and establish rehabilitation treatment plans for acute or chronic injuries.
Pilates incorporated into physiotherapy treatment follows the principles of rehabilitation to address any musculoskeletal imbalances, injuries, functional goals, and mobility limitations.
Your Initial Physiotherapy assessment conducted by a Registered Physiotherapist, will guide the Pilates/exercise rehabilitation treatment plan, when appropriate, as determined by the Physiotherapist. These sessions are billed as physiotherapy and are tax-free.
For sessions with a Certified Pilates Instructor without a physiotherapy assessment, these sessions are billed at an altered rate and tax included, but not billed as Physiotherapy.

Pilates, a methodical fitness approach, has been redefining body strength...
Pilates is a great way to help you lose weight as it is a full-body workout, with an emphasis on activating and working the core muscles. Pilates can be used as part of a comprehensive health and fitness plan which includes healthy eating and regular exercise. It can help you burn calories, build muscle, increase flexibility, improve posture and balance, and reduce stress. Ultimately, Pilates can help you reach your weight loss goals.
The number of times you should do Pilates each week will depend on a few factors such as skill level, experience, and goals. Generally speaking, for beginners, it is recommended to do Pilates two to three times per week to see maximum results. As you become more experienced with the practice and your body becomes stronger and more flexible, you can increase the frequency of your Pilates workouts up to five times a week.
